Ken Bujnowski

96 Hall Hills Road, Colchester, Connecticut 06415

(860) 537-5911

Combining the artistic shapes of cubism and futurism with sheet metal, bronze castings, steel and polyester resins, Bujnowski shows how space, movement and time affect his animal sculptures. During his years at Yale, his studies included realistic sculpture of the human form, stone carving and wood carving. He decided on working in metals, letting his imagination express itself in free forms of figures, humans, birds and fish. Some are recognizable while others are not, but express the spread of a tree or motion of a fish. These are wire sculpture developed from sketches in geometric form. The results are interesting and bright abstractions. Other pieces such as his bronze deers and portraits are realistic.

Bujnowski has taught sculpture, design and color theory on the college level. He has exhibited his sculpture throughout New England and New York and has work in private collections in Connecticut, New York, Florida, California and Denmark. He primarily works out of his own studio and forge area in Colchester, CT.
